What's new in Spindlewise

We improve Spindlewise every week, mostly from what shops tell us. These are the latest additions, by area. Updated 24 October 2026.

Quoting

Try model measurement without an account. Drop a STEP or IGES file on our home page to see its size, smallest block and bar, holes and pockets. The file is deleted as soon as it has been measured.
Routing templates. Save a line's operations, costs and outside work as a template and start new lines from it. Rates always come from your current settings.
Slots and pockets from the 3D model, with length, width, depth and the smallest inside radius, alongside holes.
Turning, drilling and tapping operations suggested from the model and the drawing, timed from cutting data and capped at your lathe's top speed.
Inch threads on drawings (UNC, UNF, UNEF with class and depth), and tap drills matched to inch or metric threads.
Millimetres or inches per workspace, with the same prices either way.
Search and filter the quote list by number, title, customer and status.

Quote requests by email: each shop gets its own address; requests and their drawings become draft quotes, and forwarded emails keep the original buyer.
