Job travellers and time logging, straight from the quote
The quote already knows the blank, the routing, the machines and the times. Spindlewise turns it into the paperwork the floor needs, and collects the real minutes back, without anyone on the floor seeing a price.
A traveller for every won job
One click on a won quote prints a traveller for each line the buyer accepted:
- Quote number, customer, PO number, the customer's part number and revision, and the date they need it.
- The quantity to make and the quantity to start, allowing for your planned yield.
- Material, blank size and weight per piece, in millimetres or inches.
- Each operation with its machine, setup, cycle time and planned machine hours, with spaces for the quantity done, a signature and the date.
- Outside processing with the supplier and spaces for sent, back and inspected, then final inspection and notes.
There are no prices, costs or rates on it. A QR code in the corner opens time logging for that job on a phone.
Time logging on a phone
- Operators pick the job and the operation, then add setup, run and labour minutes with quick buttons or a timer.
- When the job is done they record the good and scrap pieces.
- Operators have their own role: they see their jobs, the operations and the drawings, and never a price or a cost.
What the floor needs to know
- Buy list: every open job's blanks, grouped by material and blank size, with the pieces to start and the weight, plus outside work by supplier. Download it as CSV for your supplier.
- Machine load: the hours each machine still has to run on open jobs, from the quote's planned time minus the minutes already logged, next to the customer's dates. Enter each machine's weekly hours to see how many weeks of work are waiting.
And back into the next quote
Every logged minute goes into the which jobs made money report and the calibration of your setup and cycle times.
Travellers, time logging, the buy list and machine load are on every plan.
